Artwork Description

Rooster dreams of sunrise, sleepwalking in the moonlight, ready to dive or just getting up high to see the sun?
Painted with acrylic on birch panel with painted indigo edges, this art work would look perfect on a book shelf or standing on a windowsill. Or just put it up on the wall like a normal person, I don't mind. Nor does the painting. Because it is an inanimate object.

Rory OBrien is a Sydney painter, printmaker and photographer. The pictures you see on this site are recent paintings exploring light and quirk. The “Night light’ series looks at the play between moonlight and artificial light in the landscape – particularly around the ocean. Cupcakes are just yummy little pictures. The “Drivers seat” series explores cars and their owners, newer paintings go from whimsical to surreal. My style is evolving in paint and I hope you enjoy the journey 
