Rosalie Richards lives in Warakurna and Wanarn and is related to an incredibly talented group of women. She is the granddaughter of Carol Maayatja Golding and her mother, Winifred Richards is also a well known painter as are her cousins and aunts. Rosalie was born not far from Tjukayirla near Lake Throssell. Her mother Winifred Richards was walking all the way from Warburton to Laverton and back to Warburton. As a result Rosalie was born in the middle of the desert near a rockhole. Her family had to stop there until her mother recovered. Many of Rosalie Richards paintings are about salt lakes where she was born. This place is also and important Kungkarangkalpa Tjukurrpa (Seven Sisters) place.
