Artist Bio

I was born in Japan and grew up in Sydney. I like the fifties, googie, and maps,. I do traditional portraits and fantasy art in a lot of different styles.
I studied art the School of Visual Art in New York and the Chicago Art Institute . While studying, I worked as a research assistant for an art critic in SoHo. and at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
I was a finalist in the Portia Geach Memorial Award and the North Sydney Art Prize. I worked as an artist at Walt Disney and took a hiatus to look after my family. I'm excited to be painting again.
I enjoy funny cult movies like Escape from New York, where Isaac Hayes has chandeliers on his car, Tremors with Kevin Bacon pole vaulting over the giant worms and I’m gonna get you Sucka with the gold fish platform shoes. My favourite is the Thing with Kurt Russell.
