Matisse once said that no matter how established an artist is, they must be open to change, even open to changing their very identity as an artist. An artist must never be a prisoner of themselves, a style, of a reputation or of success.
In my art (and in life generally) I like to challenge myself always, so trying new methods of expression, I believe (at least for myself) is a necessity for growth as an Artist. That’s why you will see an array of different styles in my work including expressive realism, whimsical art, fluid art, etc. I try to capture, via intuitive emotions, my feelings on canvas and turn them into evocative, joyful art. Whether it’s a floral arrangement, a landscape, seascape or an abstract exploration, I hope they will resonate with you.
I have completed in-depth Fine Art studies over a 4 year period under the guidance of American/English Artist, Barry John Raybould, at his groundbreaking Virtual Art Academy, inspired by the illustrious Beaux Academy in France. He has taught many well known American artists with this program. Additionally, I have continued my artistic journey through courses both in person and online over the past decade and continue to do so.
My artworks have been exhibited across venues including the prestigious Hunters Hill Art Prize, the Ravenswood Art Prize, Drummoyne and Parramatta Art Societies in New South Wales. I have also exhibited with Aspire Gallery in Queensland and Brunswick Street Gallery in Victoria and with some well known Online Galleries including Lethbridge Salon and Art Directory Aust.
