Artwork Description

She works tirelessly in her garden and in this painting, she appears smaller than some of her flowers, they do seem to be larger than life. She enjoys sitting on the bench or chair to admire her work and uses the small stool sometimes. She has pathways too around her garden so she can walk and admire them. There’s her house at the top, with a picket fence too. She is so very proud of her work and will open her garden for visitors during Spring. This is an ode to some of my elderly neighbours of years gone by, who spent countless hours in their gardens to bring some beautiful into the world. I miss those lovely ladies!

This has been painted with some of the white of the Artboard showing so it does not require matting. Would suit a 16”x12” frame as is, but would also look great if you had it professionally framed. Bluethumb offer a framing service. See below for details. Framing is not included in my price.
Artboard has been gessoed before paint was applied. Professional high grade artists colours have been used which give a vibrancy to the work which cheaper quality paints can’t achieve.
Professional high grade sealant varnish has been used to protect artwork.
Signed Certificate of Authenticity.

Artwork will be securely packaged with protective layering and double boxed for safe transport.

This is an Australian hand made original artwork by me.
And remember to buy art- simply because you love it and it resonates with you, no matter the Artist. You actually never really know whose artwork will take off in the future😁

Artist Bio

💎 Bluethumb Featured Artist and Rising Star 💎

This collection is created with the hope that original Australian art can feel welcoming and accessible in everyday homes. The pricing is set with care—not as a strict measure of worth, but as an open invitation to bring artworks filled with memory, meaning, and lived experience into your space. In a world where so much feels temporary, these pieces aim to offer something lasting and emotionally grounding.

Guided by Henri Matisse’s belief that artists should keep evolving rather than stay confined by past styles or successes, this body of work reflects ongoing exploration. The variety of styles—from expressive realism and playful scenes to gentle abstractions and wildlife pieces—shows a willingness to grow and follow emotional intuition. Each painting aims to express feeling in a joyful, evocative way. Whether inspired by native flora and fauna, wide Australian landscapes and seascapes, or the freedom of abstraction, every piece seeks to create a meaningful connection with the viewer.

The artist’s practice is shaped by strong Fine Art training and continuous learning, bringing both skill and heartfelt intention to each work.

These artworks have been exhibited widely—from the Hunters Hill and Ravenswood Art Prizes to respected galleries across Queensland, Victoria, and online—and many pieces now live in homes around the world. Solo and permanent exhibitions reflect a commitment to sharing art that celebrates emotion, place, and connection.

Recognised as a Bluethumb Rising Star and Featured Artist in 2024, the artist’s work continues to resonate with collectors both locally and beyond. Many pieces have been warmly received in galleries and venues across Australia, helping weave art into everyday life.
