DETAILS

Oil, Acrylic and Mixed Media on High Quality Stretched Cotton Canvas on a 3.5cm Frame

The stories behind my art are based on the journey of releasing ourselves from societal conditioning and the expectations of others, and my belief that play is imperative to a healthy, inspiring and creative life.

I paint in the style of abstract expressionism making intuitive strokes, marks, and splashes with a random assortment of brushes and tools. Essentially I am transferring my most authentic expression onto the canvas using paint, charcoal or whatever medium I can get my hands on, while keeping the essence of playfulness alive.

My goal is for my artwork to inspire your own creative expression, evoke deep conversations and connections with other humans, and to restore a sense of play in your life.

Artist Bio

My art creation is a journey of possibilities. I embody my raw, wild creative self and with an attitude of experimentation and risk, I just go for it. Each piece is built up layer by layer becoming a textural feast for the eyes.

Avoiding being put in a box, even if it’s a creative box, my creative process is to follow the sparks of adventure, fun and inspiration. One day I may be painting abstract, the next day figures and the next day photographing the ocean. I will use any tool and any medium that lights me up. My favourites being oil, acrylic and charcoal.

As an explorer of life I adore the mystery of the abstract. How the soft transparent drips layered over delicate scribbles, weave themselves into the finish piece. Also, knowing I can come along with a bold stroke of a black laden paint brush and it can all change in an instant, keeps my art energetic and free.

Energetic, alive art where you get to see something new every day is what I love to create.
