Artwork Description

Merimbula bay with its oyster beds is a very interesting view. The play of light on the water and movement of light are reflected in this scene

Artist Bio

I am an up and coming Artist born from creativity and inspiration spurred during the Covid lockdown. This period caused many people to rethink the things that are important to them and for me this meant pursuing my life long dream of devoting myself to my art.

Colour, texture and differing mediums are my passion. My inspiration is colour and light and the beauty in nature and everyday wonders but also the memories of lifelong travels and wonders of new experiences and places.

For me I love working with oils and acrylics with a palette knife. I like the richness this brings to my art. I also like the ability to blend colours and shades and can achieve this not only in oils and acrylics but also graphite, charcoal and pastels.

My studio which was built during lock down is located in regional Victoria on the edge of state forest. For me it provides space, scope, serenity and constant inspiration so all combined it is an absolute haven. I consider myself extremely lucky.
