Artwork Description

A vibrant, lush imaginary landscape with koi pond and flamingos created over many intuitive layers of acrylic paint, ink, watercolour and collage.

This enchanting and tranquil scene would add a pop of colour and whimsy to your chosen space.

(Collage pieces used in the creation of this unique artwork were designed and created by me.)

Flamingo Sanctuary finished off with a touch of varnish for protection.

Ready to hang. Alternatively, as Flamingo Sanctuary was created on a thick sided wooden panel (4cm) you could choose to place her on a shelf or other flat surface.

Please note that artwork images are for display purposes and may not be to scale therefore I always suggest checking dimensions to make sure they suit your needs.

Artist Bio

Rosemary’s artistic journey is a delightful adventure that showcases the power of creativity. From a young age, she found joy in artistic pursuits, but it wasn’t until her retirement, amid the quiet of countless cover lockdowns, that she truly reconnected with her passion for art.

With an eclectic style that celebrates whimsy, Rosemary’s paintings are a vibrant reflection of her playful spirit. Rather than sticking to a rigid plan, she lets her creativity flow, allowing each piece to reveal itself organically. As she layers colors and textures, her work takes on a life of its own, resulting in captivating pieces that invite viewers into her imaginative world.

Originally working solely with acrylics on canvas, Rosemary has since embraced an exciting variety of materials. Now, her mixed media artworks bring together paint, ink, soft pastels, oil sticks, and collage, transforming her creations into multidimensional expressions of her vision.

At the heart of Rosemary’s art is a simple yet powerful motivation: it makes her happy! The joy she feels while painting shines through in every piece she creates, and sharing that joy with others has ignited her passion even further. With numerous pieces sold and a growing audience, Rosemary is driven to continue creating and sharing her artwork, ensuring that her vibrant imagination remains a central part of her life for years to come.
