Artwork Description

During my Ubud art retreat (which was a mixture of creating time, cultural experiences and down time) I created three large layered abstract intuitive bases. Using my tropical surroundings as inspiration I started to develop one my bases further, finishing off her enchanting surreal pond scene when I returned home.

Painting taken to the canvas edges therefore will wrap around her edges once stretched.

Allowing 5cm border for stretching artwork dimensions calculated to 100cm (W) x 90cm (H).

Ships in a roll.

As this artwork is un-stretched you could choose to have her stretched by Bluethumb's stretching and framing service or by your local framer.

Initialled on the front with signature on the back.

This delightful creation is finished off with finishing spray and a touch of varnish for protection.

Artist Bio

Rosemary’s artistic journey is a delightful adventure that showcases the power of creativity. From a young age, she found joy in artistic pursuits, but it wasn’t until her retirement, amid the quiet of countless cover lockdowns, that she truly reconnected with her passion for art.

With an eclectic style that celebrates whimsy, Rosemary’s paintings are a vibrant reflection of her playful spirit. Rather than sticking to a rigid plan, she lets her creativity flow, allowing each piece to reveal itself organically. As she layers colors and textures, her work takes on a life of its own, resulting in captivating pieces that invite viewers into her imaginative world.

Originally working solely with acrylics on canvas, Rosemary has since embraced an exciting variety of materials. Now, her mixed media artworks bring together paint, ink, soft pastels, oil sticks, and collage, transforming her creations into multidimensional expressions of her vision.

At the heart of Rosemary’s art is a simple yet powerful motivation: it makes her happy! The joy she feels while painting shines through in every piece she creates, and sharing that joy with others has ignited her passion even further. With numerous pieces sold and a growing audience, Rosemary is driven to continue creating and sharing her artwork, ensuring that her vibrant imagination remains a central part of her life for years to come.
