With a lifetime of experience as a professional dancer, choreographer and musician, Rosemary brings to her artworks a kinesthetic understanding of line, rhythm, movement, shape, flow and colour. Rosemary feels the stance of each animal and the line of every leaf as she brings her imagery to life. Every brushstroke is a movement in a complex dance.
Many of Rosie’s artworks are created in pastel and acrylic but she also enjoys the fine detail and linear style that she can achieve through the use of pen and wash. Her artworks depict flora and fauna and cultural scenes of people. A trait of Rosemary’s artworks is her ability to portray her subjects with a strong sense of purpose and personality.
