Watercolour on paper
Signed on the front.
Having grown up on a farm, chooks were always part of our daily life – not so much turkeys. But moving to a different part of the area, I found this group of turkeys and chickens ‘roaming the streets’ and took a few happy snaps. I find that they have particular characters and it was a joy to be able to portray that aspect in this painting. One is ‘going places’, the turkey is just curious and the other chook is contemplating something in the distance – an odd trio. I kept the landscape simple and colourful with nothing to distract from the main attraction.
This painting is an original artwork, matted (ready for a frame with glass) and in an acid-free Krystal seal bag for transport protection.
