Watercolour on paper
Signed on the front.
I was driving to Texas, QLD to deliver paintings for a solo exhibition in December, 2015 and I was captivated by the many red eucalyptus that I saw along the roadside. So on the drive home, I stopped several times to take photos. The bark was being shed leaving rich colour on the underneath trunks. This created wonderful textures (my favourite thing) that I had to paint, even though it took a while before I was able to do so. Australia has some unique natural elements, which I delight to capture in watercolour.
This painting is an original artwork, matted (ready for a frame with glass) and in an acid-free Krystal seal bag for transport protection.
