This work is part of an ongoing series called 'The Companion'.
The theme of this series is an exploration of the special connection between animals and humans.

I completed a smaller study version of this piece in 2020 with the intention of creating a larger more detailed version. The figure and proportions were intentionally elongated with an outfit and shoes that were too big, suggesting the concept of youth and growing into ourselves.

I was recently selected as a finalist in the prestigious "Kennedy Art Prize 2021"
