Rowan McAuley is a 52 yr old avant-garde artist from Sydney. His pieces are manly abstract, although he also produces beautifully rendered life drawings.
He works in a wide range of mediums including print, oil, acrylic and mixed media collage.
Rowan was educated at Scots College where he captained at Ranwick Rugby Club and later won premierships at Eastern Suburbs Rugby club.
He then went on to study art, majoring in print making and rceived distinctions from Julian Ashton Art College and the National Art School East Sydney.
In 2003 and 2004 Rowan attened life drawing at Brett Whitely Studio. In 2003 he spent several months being personally tutored by Kerry Lester.
Rowan's art is represented in many personal and corporate collections throughout Australia and overseas.
