The Gentleman's game, 'Snooker', one of the many things that bring joy to ones life, if your so inclined. This piece pays homage to this game of skill, tactics, precision and patience,...of which, when it comes to this game...i'm sorely lacking.
In this work i try to capture the simple beauty of the felt table and the balls themselves, central to the game. Just the 3 in all there reflective glory, with the overall piece, framed and painted in a satin black with with a gilded timber accent to add a subtle touch of pizazz, which i think perfectly suits the subject of this work.
