Artwork Description

A loose cluster of pale flowers and soft greenery sits in a rounded glass vase, painted with layered strokes that evoke movement and life. The darker surroundings frame the bouquet, allowing the blooms to feel luminous and calm.
Late at night, I was struggling to find inspiration and unsure what to paint. The room was quiet and mostly dark, and the only thing that caught my attention was a small vase of faux flowers sitting nearby. In the low light, the flowers seemed soft and subtle against the darkness, creating a calm and slightly moody atmosphere.

I began painting what I saw in that moment, focusing on the gentle shapes of the petals and the contrast between the light flowers and the dark background. The piece captures that quiet, late-night moment of observation, turning something simple and ordinary into a small painted “garden” held within glass.
