Ruth Davidson, (Ru) has been full time artist for the last five years, having shown an aptitude for painting and drawing in her youth, but pursuing a career in music and teaching .
Her renewed passion since retiring has seen her skills and artistry blossom exponentially and her thirst for learning explode. Oil paints and graphite pencils display her talent and interest in depicting a wide range of subjects including landscapes, animals, portraits and architecture, and recently abstract landscapes.
Her work has been displayed in numerous exhibitions in Melbourne and online, and she sells her work regularly. Ru also receives commissions for portraits and pets, and is currently working on a series of abstract landscapes.
