Artist statement Sabine Kehoe:
Sabine grew up in Germany, immigrated to Australia in 1988. She enjoyed painting since childhood.
Her detailed work is influenced by her 3 year apprenticeship to become a professional photographer. This makes her work stand out from others.
She has been a busy working mum up until late 2021 when she retired from her profession as a physiotherapist.
Sabine now devotes her free time to excel in the all different painting techniques, from very detailed to more loose dotted paintings.
Sabine loves reframing her every day moments. Her inspiration to paint usually comes from her local surroundings.
Sabine's paintings display Landscapes,"Floral Art", "Fruit", "Vegetables", "People" and "Places" in oil and acrylics.
Sabine is an active member of the Toowoomba Art Society. Being a professional photographer already, Sabine found it exiting and easy to take on the paintbrush. She also took classes with Todd Whisson, Rosslyn Hartwig, Paul Mc Cormack and has been mentored by Jacqueline Coates, Catherine Ketton, Donald James Water, David Hinchcliffe and Daniel Butterworth.
