Artwork Description

"Summer" is a vibrant abstract expression of the season's energy and warmth. Bold brushstrokes and textured paint evoke the feeling of long, sun-killed days and balmy nights. I used orange, blue, and white that captures the spirit of summer, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in its warmth.
I was inspired to create "Summer" by the simple joys of the season with lazy afternoons by the beach. I wanted to capture the essence of summer's freedom and spontaneity, and the way it makes me feel alive. I used bold, expressive brushstrokes and a vibrant color palette to convey the energy and emotion of the season. I hope this piece brings a touch of warmth and joy to your space.

Artist Bio

Sabrina Goria is an Italo-Australian contemporary expressionist and abstract artist based in Melbourne. Born in Asti, Italy, she later moved to Milan, where she immersed herself in the city’s vibrant cultural life and completed a degree in Literature, Art, Cinema, Philosophy, History and Visual Arts. These studies shaped her expressive, colourful, and emotionally driven artistic identity.
In Milan, Sabrina collaborated with internationally recognised artists and worked as an organiser of concerts and exhibitions, gaining experience in creating events that connect people through beauty and emotion.
In 2007 she relocated to Australia, embracing a new chapter filled with creativity and exploration. She paints using kitchen tools inspired by her Italian roots—rolling pins, spatulas, pastry scrapers, forks, and even ricotta containers—transforming everyday objects into expressive instruments. Her signature use of gold symbolises light, vitality, and inner strength, bringing harmony and hope into each artwork.
Today, Sabrina’s work blends emotion, texture, playfulness, and movement, inviting viewers to pause, feel, and rediscover joy through colour and abstraction.
