A horse in sunset

I had a short vacation in Victorian rural suburb Yarra Junction last Christmas. I was walking around some farm barns and stables, enjoying the beautiful summer sunset. This gorgeous horse came close to me and stood in this golden, dreamlike, fading sunlight.

Born and grew up in mainland China, I have been fascinated with the traditional Chinese brush painting. I started oil and acrylic paintings 3 years ago when I spent a lot of time walking in the park and hiking in the bush during Covid lockdowns. I was amazed how blessed Melbourne is to be surrounded by beautiful nature. I started to record the beautiful things that I saw by camera, and painted the sceneries from the photos taken. I am currently trying different painting styles. And I always enjoy the peace and serenity that every piece of artwork brings to me.
