Artwork Description

A few months ago, a boat was mysteriously washed ashore at Yorkey’s Knob, a beach near Cairns, Queensland. The exact cause remains unknown, but it appears she had weathered a fierce storm. The vessel, battered and broken, lay on the shore for some time, becoming a captivating subject for photographers and artists alike.
This artwork is my attempt to capture the moment she was claimed by the shore, using granulation techniques to convey the raw beauty and emotion of that scene….

Artist Bio

I believe I'm gifted with some of artistic talents, thus exploring it for the betterment of the world. I have studies art till my junior high-school. Due to resource constrain I couldn't continue with art, have to chose different filed and graduated in accounting . However, restarted my inherent talents to practice in 2019, thanks to COVID.

I'm originally from Sri Lanka, thus most of the subject matters are inspired by tropical environment. Most of my works are on nature, animals, birds and landscapes. However in contracts, I'm doing lots of works in urban or cityscapes as well

My major is watercolors, which very little artist chose to go. A really challenging medium. Little on acrylics as well.
