Sally's style is painterly, figurative, impressionistic and expressionistic. She uses large brushes and palette knives to create texture and emphasize the qulaity of light in her work.

Sally Ann Arnold - Fine Artist Painter
Sally is a prolific Artist who lives and paints in Black Forest, Adelaide.
Her style could be described as Painterly, Figurative, Impressionistic and Expressionistic. She likes to use large brushes and palette knives, and prefers to paint large. Quality of light is everything in her paintings, it creates mood and feeling. Sally considers her job as an Artist is to show the beauty of nature in her paintings, as a sanctuary for the viewer to gain pleasure and solace from.
Images celebrate light, along with strong design and observational skills. Sally frequently goes out to Adelaide Botanical Gardens and Brighton Beach, and other locations to gather inspiration, and her paintings often have a spiritual meaning. Sally strictly only paints from her own studies, all works are original.
Her favourite subjects to paint are Flowers, Trees, Seascapes, Boats, Portraits, Birds and Still life. Passion for a subject is Sally's inspiration, it must have light and beauty. With over 40 years of Painting experience, she has sold many Acrylic and Watercolour paintings. Sally feels that it has always been her destiny to be an Artist.. Sally accepts commissions.
Sally was a child prodigy and has always been very prolific in her work.
She studied under, Archibald Portrait Prize, controversial subject and Fine Artist, Joshua Smith when she was 17 years old.. Joshua Smith taught Sally how to paint Portraits and Still life in her hometown Mittagong NSW.
Sally accomplished one year of a Bachelor of Fine Art Degree during her time in Queensland in the year 1985. Although she has studied some painting, she is mainly self-taught in her style and loves to experiment in new paint products.
