Sally Chippendale is an artist whose paintings aim to capture the essence of everyday moments. Her work has been shown in many group exhibitions throughout Brisbane, including the Brisbane Portrait Prize Salon des Refuses 2023. Residing on the northside, she is a proud member of Sandgate Art Society and regularly attends workshops, life drawing and art events throughout the city and surrounds.
Sally began her artistic journey using graphite to create detailed artworks featuring people and animals. Transitioning into the realm of color came naturally for Sally, leading to the development of a bold and modern impressionistic style in her oil paintings. By employing a reimagination of traditional color palettes, she reveals the inner world of her subjects.
โSally expresses her artistic vision finding solace in unplugging from social media and deriving happiness from the creative flow, immersing herself in the creative process of bringing artworks to life. This artistic journey reflects her personal growth, while also capturing the dynamic interplay between her family life and artistic pursuits in the vibrant city of Brisbane.
