This artwork brings together my love of storytelling, symbolism, and playful colour. The central image of the curled fox inside a patterned vase represents rest, protection, and the quiet strength of nature. The fox, often seen as a creature of adaptability and wisdom, becomes a guardian within its vessel—watched over by the crescent moon and surrounded by dotted patterns that suggest both tradition and whimsy.
The vibrant red background creates energy and warmth, while the bold stripes ground the composition with rhythm and contrast. The fresh green blooms spilling from the top of the vase are a reminder of renewal, growth, and the ever-present cycle of nature.
Influenced by folk art, lino printmaking, and contemporary design, I aim to merge decorative motifs with symbolic imagery, inviting the viewer to see everyday objects—like a vase—as carriers of story and spirit. This piece celebrates resilience, rest, and the beauty of finding comfort within one’s own space.
