This shot was taken on the magical island of Santorini in Greece. There were volcanic rocks everywhere near the shoreline, that complemented the beautiful blue of the sea. In a quiet spot that was semi-deserted, one late afternoon, the sun was low and tired. The waves, relentless. I sat listening to the waves crashing on the rocks and watching the water recede to reveal a charcoal grey shore. The sun rays glimmered and it was a moment I had to capture with my lens. An ethereal scene of a repetitive crash, ebb and flow that is calming and captivating to the senses. I hope you enjoy this piece.
