About

Sally is an artist who views the world as colourful and humorous. She has always drawn/painted from a young age and draws upon her life experiences to create artworks of a unique nature. Working from her home studio in Geelong, Victoria, she paints with imagination and of various subjects displaying a range of styles to capture the essence of nature. Her work is often recognised for it's quirkiness, humour and bright, blazing colours. She adores the beautiful and the comical, an interesting combination!
She has won many awards for her artwork at art shows including, Most Popular Choices, Drawing/Pastelwork, Best Acrylic in Show and Mixed Media Awards.
Her work can be found in various locations around the Surf Coast and her local area including galleries. She exhibits regularly in many local and regional art shows as well.
Sally has numerous pieces in collections both locally and overseas including Britain, France, USA, Canada and New Zealand.
She is a committee member of the Anglesea Art House, a member of the Pastel Society of Victoria, Australia.

August 2009 - Opened "The Sally Ford Gallery" at Café Zoo in Drysdale.
December 2010 - Joint exhibition at Skipton Art Gallery and Café
January 2011 - Artist in residence at Skipton Art Gallery and Café
February 2011 - Exhibited at SwellArts, Anglesea
February 2011 - Exhibited at a joint International Exhibition entitled "Painting with a Purpose" in Adelaide, SA to benefit the "Little Heroes Foundation" assisting children with cancer.
April 2011 - Exhibited at Barwon Orange, Barwon Heads, Victoria
September 2011 - Exhibited at Artis Gallery, Geelong
October 2011 - Featured artist in Digitalis Online Art Magazine
December 2011 - Exhibited at Deans Marsh Art Studio, Deans Marsh, Victoria
April 2012 - 3 Stories Exhibition at Deans Marsh Art Studio, Deans Marsh, Victoria. This was a joint exhibition.
November 2012 - Solo exhibition at Skipton Art Gallery and Café. Exhibition entitled "Free Range Sally".
April 2013 - Joint exhibition at Skipton Art Gallery and Café, "The Final Countdown".
May 2016 - Permanent featured artist at Sturt Street Gallery and Classes, Alfredton, Ballarat, Victoria.
