Artwork Description

This piece is uniquely Australian . I have used mostly acrylics but also some ground up brown rocks I found at the beach near Byron Bay. I have also used ochre powder to give a unique texture effect.
I then painted scribblygum scribbles in a few detailed areas because it reminds me of the bark of a eucalyptus tree.

Artist Bio

Sally Green, a lifelong artist based in Australia, channels the vibrant landscapes of her surroundings into emotionally expressive abstract paintings. With a diverse career spanning airbrush artistry and two decades as a glassblower, Sally now dedicates herself to creating works that capture the essence of Australia’s natural beauty, from the lush greens and browns of the Northern Rivers to the blues and ochres of Byron Bay’s coastline.

Using high-quality acrylics, inks, and occasionally found objects like local sand and rocks, Sally blends materials to evoke rich textures and depth. Her techniques, honed over years, include fluid art, airbrushing, and traditional brushwork, allowing her to craft intricate, organic compositions. Each piece is finished with a protective varnish, ensuring lifelong vibrancy.

Sally’s art invites viewers to connect with nature’s beauty, bringing its spirit into their homes. Her portfolio, showcasing her unique ability to translate landscapes into emotive abstracts is also available to be viewed on her website.
