Artwork Description

‘Cheetah Haze’ is an earthy & colourful acrylic painting of an African Cheetah by Sally Walsh (aka Sillier Than Sally). This painting is layered & deep with surprising pockets of mark making and flashes of dynamic colour like burnt orange & flora pink through out the painting. ‹Featuring dusky blue, neon pink, burnt orange, earthy beige, grass green & pops of yellow. This painting is Inspired by the ease & confidence of Cheetahs. Sally has spent 3 months in Africa, travelling, plein air painting & discovering the delights of the African people, countryside & animals along the way.
Sally’s goal is to infuse in her art her inspirations of light, movement, energy, and dynamic colour combinations along with adding depth and story through mark making. To portray a delicious balance of loose expressive abstraction with pockets of realism so that each compliments the other.
This modern dynamic painting will bring colour & life to any space.
This painting is also part of a larger series ‘Rogue Animals.’
