Artwork Description

My obsession with rappers, singers and other musicians continues here in this portrait of Anderson Paak. I commenced this work in 2018 and its the fist i have finished in 2019, its fitting that its this person who I completed as the fist painting of the new year, his music is constantly changing expanding into new genres. I left teaching in 2018 and am now working solely as an artist, this is me expanding my horizon, my genre if you will. Paak is someone ive been listening to a lot lately, perhaps its because his music has helped sooth me through my transition away from teacher and towards artist. I felt some what of a debt to him in a weird way, so I did my usual thing and stalked the abyss that is the internet to locate an image that i felt best reflects him as a person. This is Anderson Paak
