I've always found life in the rural parts of this country intriguing, there seems to be a strange balance held between cultivated and uncultivated land. The farm and the bush sit across from each other in this painting, dogs bark at dingos, kangaroos stare at the big cows across the way, all seek food, water and shade on the other side of the fence. I wonder if these animals look at each other like this? or maybe its just me looking at them in their strangely mirrored lives.
