The Fight (Part 1)

This is the first half of a Diptych i am working on title "The Fight". Both paintings will be sold separately but can be bought as a pair. This is the visual story of an argument I over heard a while ago. I will not give the story, but I will say that each painting represents either side of the story as best I could interpret it. It was an interesting experience to hear it, the who hurt who, the he said she said, the I dont want to talk about its...im keeping this ambiguous so the audience can decide on the conversation that was had, but then perhaps that was what was lacking between them...a proper and honest conversation, regardless of the pain of truths and honesty...to clear the air allows time to heal things for better or worse. I wont reveal the outcome of the fight, you can decide that yourself.

I find that my art enables me to express elements of my world that can't necessarily be seen by the naked eye, its an attempt at conveying something a bit intangible. Abstraction is the primary way I communicate my ideas and experiences in art.
The naive and somewhat primitive lines, shapes, colours and textures I use are my attempt at capturing the atmosphere, personality or feeling of a place or person I have encountered in my life, realism or a photograph in my opinion doesn't always capture these elements of the world.
I feel that my art brings these to the surface...it shows the soul of something, somewhere, or someone. Perhaps you will see someone you know within my strange works, maybe even yourself.
