Artwork Description

Have you ever stopped and looked closely at nature? I mean properly taken a moment to immerse yourself in it and properly see it?
There is so much to see in the world around us, I increasingly find that people have less time to actually stop for a moment and look closely at the world, there is so many details that we overlook, so many little stories, little worlds and intricacies. It's these little things that I think make where we live so beautiful, Currawongs and Cicadas, ants and scribbles on gum bark. Every once in a while perhaps you should spend a little longer looking at these things, usually they go unnoticed but do yourself a favour, look closely at the world, find beauty in a world full of chaos, and take your time.

Artist Bio

I find that my art enables me to express elements of my world that can't necessarily be seen by the naked eye, its an attempt at conveying something a bit intangible. Abstraction is the primary way I communicate my ideas and experiences in art.
The naive and somewhat primitive lines, shapes, colours and textures I use are my attempt at capturing the atmosphere, personality or feeling of a place or person I have encountered in my life, realism or a photograph in my opinion doesn't always capture these elements of the world.
I feel that my art brings these to the surface...it shows the soul of something, somewhere, or someone. Perhaps you will see someone you know within my strange works, maybe even yourself.
