Being in lock down, despite being pretty content to be in my own company and that of my family. I really miss seeing freshly cut flowers. When ever there are flowers in the house I can't help but feel like the the day is special, that moments however fleeting are special and should be celebrated. Even though the future is clouded in uncertainty I feel like the treasuring th simply things will save us.

Artwork Description
Artist Bio
Sam's area of interest includes, still life arrangements, flowers, birds and insects. The still life imagery is not created from an existing arrangement but from multiple references of objects. The compositions created by sketching out placement shapes and then working on the desired combination of textures, colours and objects. Sam enjoys playing with symbolism and often uses elements that have multiple meanings to her and the viewer. " The idea of a still life, freezing a moment in light and shadow has always interested me. Creating these works allows my very busy and cloudy mind to rest. For this I am so truly grateful"
