The plein-air painting was created in a two-hour sit in an impressionist style. It captures the solitude of a Mediterranean Cypress near Plenty River in Viewbank.

Saman is a Melbourne-based artist who uses a variety of visual art mediums to interpret and express his perceptions of the human environment. His sophisticated academic drawing skills allow him to freely experiment with different artistic forms and styles in his journey to develop personal expression.
Saman has featured his artworks in group exhibitions in Melbourne over the last four years. He was shortlisted for the Norma Bull Portrait Scholarship 2024.
