Artwork Description

No person can put their feet in the same river twice, for the person and the river are constantly changing.
Plain air Alla Prima painting is the best technique to capture the flow of time in a single image as the light, shadow, every single leaf of the trees and all the ripples in water are changing during the painting. The impression of the Punt and it’s passengers in Melbourne Royal Botanical Garden ornamental lake was captured with a few strokes of paint each time travelling from this scene. Each individual brush stroke in this painting may be perceived unfinished or imperfect, while together, they can create a meaningful scene, maybe like us as human beings.
