Artwork Description

THE DOUBLE TAKE-
At first glance, the words “all the same”, popped into my head.
But still, I lingered a little longer than I had originally thought.
Refusing to buy into the idea that there was nothing more to look at.
My gaze asked, and answered, its own questions.
Depth appeared, and as the lure of a siren’s song, it drew me in.
They seemed to morph and change like chameleons staring back at me, thanking me for viewing them as they truly were.

Artist Bio

I navigate my thoughts through my art, whether it be an outlet for internal energy or art therapy pieces to calm my mind and my Schizophrenia.
The process of creating internal thoughts into a visual identity is a rabbit hole that can stretch for an eternity.
The moments shared between the artist and their works, is a fascinating bond.. Every piece has my emotions attached to it, making it more than just canvas and paint.
I often compose words after staring at a finished piece, not to lead the viewer as such, but to insight their own thought process.
My art may vary as much as my mind will, allowing myself freedom and an authenticity in the art I create.
Letting go of fear and opening yourself up to vulnerability is a necessity when creating art.
