The Pivot
The feeling of being pointed in a certain direction and not questioning it, had always been there.
Other directions were subconsciously acknowledged, but a conscious decision to choose them, somehow, didn’t exist.
The promise of safety, was the currency, exchanged for obedience.
Future directions mapped out with generic intentions and outcomes, accompanied by a sense of blame if they failed to come to fruition.
Then came the Pivot.
Multiple directions were now considered, they were as individual as the person choosing them.
Outcomes became unique lessons of strength and weakness.

I navigate my thoughts through my art, whether it be an outlet for internal energy or art therapy pieces to calm my mind and my Schizophrenia.
The process of creating internal thoughts into a visual identity is a rabbit hole that can stretch for an eternity.
The moments shared between the artist and their works, is a fascinating bond.. Every piece has my emotions attached to it, making it more than just canvas and paint.
I often compose words after staring at a finished piece, not to lead the viewer as such, but to insight their own thought process.
My art may vary as much as my mind will, allowing myself freedom and an authenticity in the art I create.
Letting go of fear and opening yourself up to vulnerability is a necessity when creating art.
