Artist Bio

Hello, l’m Samantha, a wildlife and nature lover and an artist working from my studio in country, Victoria, Australia.

Art has always played a significant role in my life and it wasn’t until around 2014 that l started to exhibit and sell my artworks at local art exhibitions. This was a great motivation for me to explore new ideas and push my skills further and start to find my artistic voice.

My art is heavily inspired by wildlife and nature. I create original and unique artworks and l mainly work with pencil, acrylic paint and pastel.

Within each of my paintings and drawings l aim to achieve a softly rendered finish, blending realism with delicate textures to create intricate scenes that evoke a sense of serenity and wonder, often adding an element of imaginative realism.

The further l dive deeper into my art career as to the what and why l create, my focus and passion always leads me back to painting and drawing the animals that l love.

I am very grateful that many of my artworks now reside throughout Australia and also internationally.

β€’ ln February 2024 l was a finalist in the β€œlnside This Box Art Prize” at The Corner Store Gallery in Orange, NSW.

β€’ ln 2022 , l exhibited in the β€œlnterconnected β€œ exhibition for Beautiful Bizarre, an Australian based international contemporary art magazine.
This exhibition was held at the New England Regional Art Museum, Armidale, May/June 2022.

β€’ My coloured pencil artworks have been featured twice in the lnternational selling Colored Pencil Magazine, including the featured artist for January 2019 and a design for the front cover of this edition.
