Australia’s native and stunning wildflower the Sturt's Desert Pea (Swainsona formosa) is the most vibrant and unique wildflower. The Sturt's Desert Pea is located in the wheatbelt and sand plains in the South-western parts of Australia. The distinctive blood-faced wildflowers grow in particularly harsh environments in central and north-western Australia. The Sturt Desert Pea grows long runners along the ground with bright crimson blossoms covering the arid plains. In the distance they can almost be mistaken for Flowering Flames of the Desert.
I have named this painting Flowering Flames of the Desert.
