I’m Samira Khadivizand, an Iranian-Australian artist with a background in theatre set design (BA) and a Master of Fine Art from RMIT. Painting has always been the core of my practice. As a multidisciplinary artist, I blend painting with forms and meanings shaped by cultural and social influences, often reflecting both personal and collective experiences through an abstract and poetic visual language.

The works I present here on Bluethumb include a collection of paintings and drawings in various mediums, sizes, and subjects from expressions of longing and everyday stories to drawings inspired by fleeting moments of joy. This account focuses on a more personal and emotional side of my practice, which stands apart from my other projects. It highlights a distinct style and technique, aiming to create visually pleasing and emotionally resonant images that bring a sense of beauty and warmth into your homes.

My hope is that each piece you purchase brings moments of warmth and connection into your space, wherever you choose to hang it.
