Artwork Description

Phone Face is an abstract acrylic painting on canvas that explores themes of digital technology and emotional expression through the vibrant, cartoonish aesthetics of today’s mobile phones. The use of emojis, stickers, and other digital accessories inspired the painting’s colors and composition. A partially recognizable human face emerges in some areas, suggesting the close-up view of a person during a FaceTime connection.

Artist Bio

I’m Samira Khadivizand, an Iranian-Australian artist. Painting has always been the core of my practice. As a multidisciplinary artist, I blend painting with forms and meanings shaped by cultural and social influences, often reflecting both personal and collective experiences through an abstract and poetic visual language.
