Cassowary Portrait

I encountered this Southern Cassowary at the Melbourne Zoo earlier this year and was so surprised by the vibrant colours and its unusual crown. He is now a part of my Royalty Series.
This Shadow King wears his crown with pride and looks beautiful peeking out of the shadows.

Hello and welcome. I‘m Sandra (Sandy) and I am the artist and designer behind Sandra Edwards Design. Located in the north of Victoria, I’m surrounded by wonderful native Australian wildlife, rolling hills and streams. A perfect place to find inspiration.
With two beautiful boys keeping me busy, I began to revisit my childhood love of art to enjoy time to myself. Over the years I’ve developed my skill in fine art and with the boys starting school I’m delighted to be able to delve fulltime into all things creative.
