‘Fragments’
Tiny windows of white paint that expose the colours to resemble mosaic tiles.
This is called a reverse negative technique where you paint over areas you don’t want to keep.
At first glance you may think I have painted coloured shapes over a white background but it is actually the other way around.
I’ve put a photo of the work in process so you see how I painted it.
It was a challenge I’m glad I undertook as I think it turned out fantastic!
