The light hitting the side and back of the emu caught inspired me to paint this. The image was from a photo I took on a family farm, where the occasional emu family, chickens, and kangaroos wander around looking for morsels from the ground or fruit trees.
The work is painted on a gallery stretched canvas in acrylic paint and has several coats of varnish to protect the work.
