Artwork Description

🎨 Mystic Grove – Abstract Art Description (Wabi-Sabi Inspired)

Mystic Grove was a textured, soulful abstraction—an ode to impermanence and quiet beauty. Earthy greens, muted ochres, and soft charcoal tones layered like memories in a forest clearing. The composition felt organic, almost breathing—brushstrokes meandering like roots, with subtle cracks and raw edges that invited contemplation.

There was no symmetry, no perfection—just a gentle unraveling. A grove not seen, but felt. The kind of place that exists between moments: dusk meeting moss, silence meeting longing.

techniques,

Deep stretched good quality canvas. Acrylic washes, dry brushing, ink bleeding, and hand-sanded textures to evoke a misty forest in quiet decay. Natural materials like soil pigment and pressed leaves added tactile depth.

Artist Bio

SANDRA TALLAT Artist, Interior Designer, Educator – Founder of Stella Interiors Home
Sandra Tallat was born in New Zealand in 1969 and began painting in primary school, inspired by her mother, an artist from Baghdad. Her grandfather’s diplomatic career exposed her to over 38 countries, including Germany, India, Sri Lanka, Cuba, the UAE, and the United States. Visits to Italy and Paris further shaped her sensitivity to space, material, and emotional nuance.
She completed a Bachelor of Architectural Studies (1990–1993) and a Master of Architecture (1994–1996) at the University of Auckland, specialising in interior design. Since 1994, Sandra has worked across residential and commercial projects, steadily developing a career grounded in poetic clarity and spatial storytelling. In 2014, she founded Stella Interiors Home, introducing wabi-sabi philosophy into her design practice—curating spaces that honour imperfection, stillness, and emotional resonance.
Sandra currently teaches Interior Design at Box Hill Institute and continues to run Stella Interiors Home alongside her online art shop. Her paintings are layered meditations on transience and texture, often abstract and deeply rooted in nature. Each piece reflects her global heritage and unwavering commitment to authenticity.
Her collections, W. Collection, A. Expression, N. Vibes, and Wabi Sabi—are emotional landscapes shaped by decades of artistic and design practice. They invite viewers and clients into environments that feel lived-in, soulful, and timeless.
