Learning to Fly

This is a mixed media drawing of chalk, crayola, Water colour and Prisma pencils on coloured matt board. Rendered via scribbling pencil over many layers to bring out the colour. It was so much fun to draw and I think it’s beautiful. Hope someone else does too!

I am an artist living in the Noosa Hinterland in Queenslandwhere I have a little studio conveniently placed next to a cafe! I love the peace of the Hinterland lifestyle and like to paint everyday if I can. The human figure has always been my favourite subject to paint and draw. I was lucky enough to be a finalist last year in the Moran Art Prize, a great reward for years of hard work.
I also have a passion for wildlife, especially birds which I have been drawing since childhood. I have twice been a finalist in the Holmes Bird Art Prize held on the Sunshine Coast.
I have tried to add artwork at a range of prices to suit all buyers and would be happy to include prints if required. Thankyou for taking the time to listen and I hope you enjoy my work! Sara
