Painter of all things bright and beautiful; of brooding skies and rolling meadows, too. I've always been painting, and as a self taught artist, my aim is to bring beauty into the home. My subjects range from the ordinary everyday objects to the vast outdoors. I love the Australian countryside, and I'm fortunate to have some awesome country views around me, which I'm in the process of putting on my canvas.
I have always been deeply passionate about painting, and remember spending my time during boring classes at school making sketches in my textbooks. However, painting did not become a full time endeavour for me till quite recently, when my children gifted me with some canvases and paint. I am self taught, learning as I go along, and as such, my paintings are pretty widespread over many genres.
My paintings aim to bring beauty that I find in the ordinary, all around me, into the home; so that when one looks at the work, there is an aesthetically pleasing ambience that permeates. Through my artwork, I try to bring the outside in. I work in oils mainly, for its suppleness, versatility and adaptiveness and my paintings span landscapes, botanicals and interiors - in short, everything that is bright and beautiful.
Often I begin with an idea in mind, and as it progresses, I find that it develops into much more; the journey itself takes you in a new direction and you must find the beauty in the art you do.
