Artwork Description

"Smashed Avo" was inspired from our holidays down on the Mornington Peninsular coastline. Where we wake up late, chuck on some board shorts, run to the beach to swim in the bay and walk to the cafe for some 'Smashed Avo'.
The colours represent the lush green of the coastal tea tree, Leptospermum laevigatum, as it grows and twists and turns battling the sea breeze.
This piece will uplift any space with its bright abstract colours.
This painting comes ready to hang.

Artist Bio

Sara May is an upcoming Artist in Melbourne Australia. Winner of a local 2022 Art Award and featured in Melbourne Art Schools Exhibition in 2023, Sara is showing promise for the future.

Sara May has fully submersed herself in to the Melbourne community artists scene and is gaining knowledge with every brush stroke. The unique quality of Sara's work is her ability to put paint to canvas at a rapid rate with a degree of nonchalance at the abyss for failure but instead embracing and leaning forward in to the potential of what could be only described as a captain harnessing the helm of their ship through the storms of contemplation, imagination and creativity.

Sara loves to paint, "I love to explore different mediums in my work, in one canvas I incorporated sugar in to the blended work that gave the impression of a waves breaking on the sand."

Sara hopes that you get the sense of miracles and wonder when you gaze at the blends of colour and creativity when you view her artwork.
