Artwork Description

Drifting In is a textured abstract painting created with layered strokes of soft plaster. The palette blends muted tones of cream, blush, mustard, dusty blues, lavender, and terracotta, flowing together in sweeping arcs that give a sense of movement and rhythm. The raised surface adds depth and dimension, inviting light to catch on each curve. Calm yet dynamic, Drifting In carries a soothing coastal energy, making it a versatile piece to bring warmth and gentle vibrance into any space.

It is unframed but the edges are painted a matching very soft pink,

Artist Bio

Sarah Farinski is a Melbourne-based abstract artist who has been creating and selling art for the past six years. She creates textured abstract artworks using a variety of mediums, including modelling paste, plaster and sand. Her work is largely inspired by the natural world, drawing on seascapes, expansive skies, earthy tones and organic textures. She is particularly drawn to neutral and muted colour palettes and enjoys creating harmonious combinations of colour and texture that bring depth and visual interest to an interior while still allowing the space to feel calm and balanced.

Although her work often reflects a few recognisable styles, Sarah enjoys experimenting and stepping outside her usual approach from time to time. While neutrals remain a constant influence, she occasionally introduces bolder or more colourful palettes simply to keep the creative process fresh and explore something different.

Each artwork is created with an appreciation for texture, organic movement and considered colour. Whether subtle and tonal or more expressive and colourful, Sarah's work is designed to complement a range of interiors while bringing warmth, depth and a sense of individuality to a space.
