Artwork Description

Nagomi Stone celebrates the beauty of calmness, balance and imperfect natural forms. Inspired by weathered surfaces shaped by time, this original textured artwork embraces the quiet elegance at the heart of wabi-sabi design.

Heavy layers of texture create a richly tactile surface, revealing subtle variations in tone and depth. Olive-grey hues at the base gradually soften into warm neutral beiges above, creating a gentle ombré effect that evokes stone, earth and natural mineral formations. Hints of brown emerge through the textured layers, particularly around the centre of the piece, adding warmth and organic character.

With its earthy palette and sculptural texture, Nagomi Stone brings a sense of serenity and grounding to contemporary interiors. It is particularly well suited to Japandi, modern organic, minimalist and wabi-sabi spaces.

Artist Bio

Sarah Farinski is a Melbourne-based abstract artist who has been creating and selling art for the past six years. She creates textured abstract artworks using a variety of mediums, including modelling paste, plaster and sand. Her work is largely inspired by the natural world, drawing on seascapes, expansive skies, earthy tones and organic textures. She is particularly drawn to neutral and muted colour palettes and enjoys creating harmonious combinations of colour and texture that bring depth and visual interest to an interior while still allowing the space to feel calm and balanced.

Although her work often reflects a few recognisable styles, Sarah enjoys experimenting and stepping outside her usual approach from time to time. While neutrals remain a constant influence, she occasionally introduces bolder or more colourful palettes simply to keep the creative process fresh and explore something different.

Each artwork is created with an appreciation for texture, organic movement and considered colour. Whether subtle and tonal or more expressive and colourful, Sarah's work is designed to complement a range of interiors while bringing warmth, depth and a sense of individuality to a space.
